Some no-code tools are really only limited by what you can imagine you can build with them. This is especially true for a tool like Bubble. Because we wanted to include some more complicated machine learning functionality, rather than be upset by the limitations, of Bubble, we built the API for the micro-service ourselves, and used Bubble's extensibility options to access those features.

Build Twitter without writing code using Bubble

What is it:

We wanted to showcase juuust how powerful no-code could be. 5 years ago, we launched Not Real Twitter 1.0 to prove it was possible to build fully functional web apps in Bubble. Now, we did it again with a cleaner UI, and a Cloning feature to allow users to Tweet like any user of their choosing.

Maker Insight:

Some no-code tools are really only limited by what you can imagine you can build with them. This is especially true for a tool like Bubble. Because we wanted to include some more complicated machine learning functionality, rather than be upset by the limitations, of Bubble, we built the API for the micro-service ourselves, and used Bubble's extensibility options to access those features.

What I learned:

1. Built with Bubble - What can I say this is amazing that you can clone an application like Twitter without having to maintain the code. Between this Twitter clone and video game clone built by Sako in Webflow I dont think there is a limit as to what you can do. As nocode becomes more capable and more people begin to build the barrier to entry will come down. This means that there is an even more emphasis on building an audience, telling your story and helping people as you make something. Because so many products will be able to be created, how will you rise above the noise?

2. Tweet using "A.I." as if you are someone else - I really enjoyed this feature and thought it is a brilliant product and marketing move. I don't know how these Makers promoted this clone but this is something I would have led with. Curiousity about this alone would drive a significant sign up and viral interest alone. Would be funny to tweet to real twitter using fake twitter clone with this app as a way to promote.

I thought this was a fun take on A.I. My assumption is that there is some machine learning like the Makers noted, but not sure what that entails for this product. Might be a follow up or interview in store for these Makers! For example one of the people that you can tweet as is Elon Musk or Donald Trump. It was really interesting and impressive how many tweet variations I got for each. I'd be interested if they could productize this feature into something that people could use as meme. Would people pay money to fake tweet and use some level of "A.I." to generate tweets would be a good parody to get attention for a service like this. Just an idea.

3. Stored interactions - I thought it was really interesting how he created interactions that were stored based off of users behavior. For example, when I followed a user, then it loaded previously created content after my user actions based on who I followed. This is really interesting way to help deliver value in your app with content based off of users actions.

4. Tweeting - Functions just like real twitter. I thought it was interesting to see all the interactions, favoriting, bookmarking, retweeting etc all work just like real twitter. Also the Maker's enabled you to attached images to your tweets as part of the functionality.
