Maker Insight:

There's a need for keeping track of employee goals, especially now with the WFH situation

What did I learn:

1. Glide Apps Feature review - Really impressive form submission example. One of the better experiences that I have seen on a Glide app that had different elements not used frequently.
1. Rating bar 1-5
2. Progress bar that updates as you fill out the form
3. Integrates past data submitted within the new form as a task to check off - this was really neat. Hard to explain but you will need to demo this out
4. Add tasks within the form - there was a question that asked, "what do you intend to complete this week" and it allowed me to expand a new section to write text of the task.

5. give a virtual high five
6. set up a coffee event with a team member

2. Glide Apps Feature review - Virtual "High Five"
This feature allows you to give another team mate a high five, like a thumbs up for doing a great job. Everyone loves positive recognition. What I liked about this feature is how when I selected a team member from the drop down, on the backend it connected to the image profile and displayed automatically within the app. The display showed the profile image of who I gave the high give too, and displayed some meta data around what the high five was for.

3. Glide Apps Feature review - Setting up coffee with another member of the team. Within the form, is a dropdown to select another team member, then a calendar feature for the date and time. Glide handles all the dirty work here as the experience is insanely easy to use. And the team member and myself have a coffee date and time set within the app.

What I thought was really interesting about this feature is that within the app you can get an actual notification when there is a coffee invitation waiting.

Everytime I do a Glide App review I learn something new. What I believe the greatest value out of these templates is the ability to create true web app experiences like this really can give you superpowers as a Maker. I think that difficult thing about how the template marketplace is set up is it does not bring out all the awesome stuff that these apps can do. I have an idea to help out...stay tuned...
