Creating a website where you can book an appointment. Connecting Airtable, Slack and more to my website. With Slack integrated, there are no emails and all of the inquiries come through Slack. The greatest thing I learned was using Dorik to create the website. I was surprised how easy my website was set up. I used Integromat to automate everything and it was the first time I used it extensively.
I spent 1,000+ hours talking with 150+ No-code Founders, who have generated millions of dollars with their businesses without actually writing code.
How are they doing it?
I spent years researching and building on what they do. I wrote The Lean Side Project so you can build and launch your product.
I want to help businesses with no-code. Especially SME. I also have a YouTube channel to spread the word: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4eXRX3GOgtUNaXiRmHqaLg?

1. What is the data flow for this internal tool?
Streamline your new client intake process.
Staying organized is key. When running a business automation can allow you to punch above your fighting weight. Especially as a solo Maker/Founder. So how do you do it? Check out this automated flow to streamline new client intake process. Instead of checking many disparate systems have everything flow into one place so that you can spend more time doing quality work instead of operational manual things that slow you down.
"With Slack integrated, there are no emails and all of the inquiries come through Slack"
No emails sounds great. But what does that actually mean?
Here is the data flow:
A. Dorik.io (landing page)>form>integromat>Slack
B. Doriki.io (landing page)>Calendly>integromat>Slack
What is happening here is that Steven has good flexibility to allow a new client to ask questions prior to signing up. And for any clients that are ready to actually schedule a consultation, they can use Calendly. Offering your client two different ways to start their journey with you, adds complexity on your end. Because these are different intake systems. One is an online form, the other is Calendly. What Steven uses on the backend to pull it all together is Integromat. He sends both responses to a Slack channel. So now everything is streamlined into one place. Improving his workflow efficiency, response time and quality of service. Simple integrations like this add sneaky value to your everyday life.
2. Dorik.io product debuts on Side Project Stack. What's interesting you should know about this product?
What is it? "Flexible & easy-to-use website builder with 120+ UI Components and 12 beautiful templates."
This is a competitor to Carrd, a popularized one page website builder. What's different about Dorik.io that I like is not only are there templates to use, many have really slick designs, but there are blocks or module pre-made to use. These are massive time savers when you are building something out. If you are building with Carrd for example you would need to use Components.ui (a separate UI kit) to integrate into your Carrd website. This increases the cost to your overall implementation and adds friction in the making process. If you're making a single web page, speed is the name of the game. Dorik.io may help you make faster because of something like this. You can't really say that definitively because there is so much variable in what you are making but I think an important feature to call out.
Secondly, Dorik.io provides hosting. This is also provided by Carrd, but the difference being that with Dorik, you can host your custom domain on Dorik.io's servers. I have not seen this functionality with Carrd. I think this matters more if you are looking to scale your website. Starting off I wouldn't base your decision to use either or. What I think would be compelling to understand is how easy the UI builder is with Dorik.io.
There are a few other features that come with Dorik.io and something I would compare and contrast with Carrd. I think that you should give Dorki.io a look at when starting your next project. Their custom templates and UI blocks could be the difference Maker in helping you create a professional looking finished product in a short time.
3. Calendly - what can you do with it?
What is it? "The best automated scheduling software for you and everyone you meet"
Calendly is a tool that I cannot recommend enough. It does everything you'd want to do to make scheduling easy. If you are familiar with Outlook it is lightyears ahead of that products capabilities. Calendly is a must if you are a Maker.
There are so many cool things that you can use Calendly with. It has a very friendly API and webhook ability that you can hook into with Zapier.
